Employee Benefit Services

Optima specialise in forging strong relationships with small to medium sized companies through the provision of bespoke employee benefit services delivered on a fee basis. We have provided services to clients with just a single member director’s pension scheme to clients who have several different pension and benefit schemes in place covering a multi-subsidiary, multi-location  group with a 1000+ employees. 

It is widely accepted that the provision of a comprehensive employee benefits package plays a major role in recruiting and retaining staff. The importance of benefit provision for staff cannot be underestimated. Where the benefits provided are not understood and appreciated this represents a less than effective investment for all parties.

Optima can advise employers in the design, construction and administration of a wide range of employee benefits packages, tailored to fall within agreed budgets and appropriate for the modern workplace.

Our Services

Our service includes but is not limited to the following :- 

Administration and support services

Optima can provide the required administration services to manage Group personal pensions, Death benefit, Income Protection and Private Medical Insurance schemes.    

This would include market reviews at an agreed frequency to establish that the benefit levels, terms and premiums remained suitable and competitive.        

Optima would maintain scheme records and provide a day-to-day contact for the employer to raise any queries with.  We would expect to meet and report to management at agreed intervals, usually annually, when all aspects of the benefit provisions and services provided by Optima would be reviewed.  

Consultancy services

Optima can provide advice and consultancy support on a broad range of subjects including :-  

  • Benefit design
  • Suitability of the existing service and benefit providers
  • Changes in legislation and developing a suitable response where required eg Auto enrolment
  • Establishing new or replacement arrangements and their implementation
  • Developing and delivering communications to staff

Services for staff

Various services can also be provided to employees which can include :-

  • Provision of a point of contact for employees to raise any benefit queries 
  • Provision of annual counseling meetings with individual employees
  • Annual communication to staff detailing total remuneration values
  • Benefit commencement and pension transfer advice. These exercises would typically be undertaken as a personal and confidential exercise with the member of staff concerned     

A service agreement would be put in place to document the services to be provided and remuneration basis to apply.
